Calculate the spacing between battens

The spacing between the battens is 320mm, and the section of the batten is not less than 30 * 40mm.

Install battens

Install the battens according to the snapped positioning pin line, use nylon expansion bolts with a diameter of 8mm to fix the batten on the concrete base, with a depth of no less than 50mm and a spacing of no more than 500mm.

Install cornice grate

Install cornice grates on the first row of tiles at the eaves to prevent birds from entering.

Layout of tiles

They should be laid in rows starting from the eaves, and the overlap parallel to the ridge of the roof should reverse the annual dominant wind direction in the area. The overlap perpendicular to the ridge of the roof should be arranged in the direction of the water flow, and the two rows of corrugated asphalt tiles should be staggered.

Tile installation

The first row of corrugated asphalt tiles should be protruded 50mm from the eaves, do a horizontal overlap of 1 wave. When the slope of roof is 10° - 15°, do a longitudinal overlap of 100mm, and when the slope of roof is greater than 15°, do a longitudinal overlap of 80mm.

Tile nail positioning

Snap a line according to the installation position of the batten, and use a special tile nail to fix the tile on the batten. The tile nail is fixed at the wave peak and perpendicular to the roof.

The eaves and tile joints are all fixed wave by wave.

Installation of ridge tile

The installation of ridge tiles should be started from the side against the dominant wind direction of the roof, with the overlap length of 125mm, the overlap length with the corrugated asphalt tile not less than 200mm, and should be fixed wave by wave with nails. To enhance the ventilation at the ridge of the roof, a 20mm thick gasket can be placed between the ridge tile and the corrugated asphalt tile, and be fixed on the batten with tile nails.
